Muscles tense? Can’t get rid of the ‘ache’? How do
you take a break from the stress and tensions brought on by daily activities,
or the extra strain of a physically active life style? A good Therapeutic
Massage is the answer. You may prefer the gentle relaxing touch of a
Swedish massage. The long gliding strokes manipulate
and sooth tired aching muscles and encourage the body’s superficial
fascial layers to unwind and relax. This softer touch is especially
helpful for those who suffer with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome;
those who need the benefit of increased circulation that massage brings,
but don’t tolerate deep pressure.
For the more insistent discomfort caused by poor habitual
postures and positions, repetitive motion injury, or the need to unwind
from a hard physical day, Deep Tissue Massage would
be your answer. This form of Therapeutic massage uses deeper pressure
to massage and manipulate major muscle groups. If you have particular
‘spots’ of discomfort or trigger points, they can
be addressed and relieved with direct pressure, leaving your relaxed
and ready to face another day.
Which ever massage type you choose Swedish or Deep
Tissue, studies have shown that regular, thoughtful touch makes a difference
to your nervous system, musculature and body rhythms and overall attitude.

Would you like to experience relief from chronic pain, improved posture,
ease of movement, and an increase in energy that will allow you to deal
better with daily stress? Experience DTR -Deep Tissue
Realignment. This therapy addresses the entire body through realignment
of the connective tissue or fascia. It is because of fascial-connective
tissue ‘holding patterns’, that a pain between your shoulders
may actually be the result of a problem with your hip, or knee, or an
imbalance in some other area of the body -due to injury or poor habits.
DTR connects with and releases these ‘holding
patterns’ throughout your body. The strokes involved are VERY
DEEP! When these patterns are released, the result is structural realignment
– a sense of freedom in your own skin.
Where deep work is required, this therapy works well.
*DTR is the perfect maintenance massage
after completion of a Whole Body Balancing series

Do you wake up stiff in the morning? Would you like to regain and improve
your flexibility in 90 minutes? Try a Thai Massage.
Thai massage uses a variety of yoga like stretches, movements, pressure
points and natural rhythms to produce a distinctly relaxing yet energizing
and highly effective therapeutic treatment. The objective of Thai work
is to open your body. By releasing the tensions held in your joints
as well as your muscle groups, your body energies may flow freely resulting
in an overall improvement in flexibility and stamina.
For a Thai Massage you remain fully
clothed in loose fitting, comfortable clothing. The therapist will work
with you on a floor mat, and you should not eat for at least an hour
before the session. A full body Thai session is 90 minutes to 2-hours.
However, there are specific 1-hour routines for pain patterns related
to Back, Knee, Shoulder Pain and Headaches that you may try as an introduction
to the work.
The ability to listen to your body and nurture it through
touch to obtain an increase range of motion and flexibility will make
a difference in your general good health. top
There is a manual therapy you can use that will affect the health of
every living cell in your body! The circulation system that delivers
nutrients to and remove toxins form every cell in our bodies through
the fluid of the Lymphatic System. When this
fluid stagnates our bodies swell. This swelling is called edema. Sometimes
the swelling is minimal- after a long day on your feet, or an athletic
effort. At other times –after surgery or radiation the swelling
can be extensive.
LDT is a 'light touch' therapy used to detect the
rhythm, direction, depth and quality of lymph fluid flow. Slow, gentle,
wave like motion encourages the lymph to move toward major lymph nodes
where it is filtered and returned to the blood. This movement of fluid
decreases swelling, moves toxins so they can be eliminated from the
body, and stimulates the immune system. When lymph moves the whole body
is in a healthier environment from the inside out.
What causes lymph to stagnate?
Lack of physical activity- Extreme physical activity- Fatigue- Infection-Surgery-
Stress- Aging -are some factors.
When can LDT help?
Detoxification - Pre & Post surgery swelling –Wrinkles-Headaches/Migraines
-Chronic Fatigue Syndrome - Fibromyalgia - Cellulite - Arthritis -Insomnia
–to name a few.

CST uses a soft touch (about the weight of a nickel) to release restrictions
in the linings around the brain and spinal cord. Many problems such
as migraine headaches, ADHD, learning disabilities, chronic fatigue,
emotional difficulties, are associated with stress on these membranes.
When the membranes are released the function of the entire nervous system
is improved. An improved nervous system is the ground work for better
functioning of all your body’s systems. CST can be included in
many of the Therapeutic Massage therapies offered.

The word doula comes from ancient Greek meaning most favored female servant. When it is time for your labor and the delivery of your baby, having a massage therapist provide doula support can be especially calming. With massage techniques and labor enhancing positions, the massage doula can help ease the tensions that build during contractions so Mom can stay focused on the job at hand.
Your Doula will encourage and support the father/partner as well as the mother during labor so that no one is left out. With a Doula present, all concerned parties will know that Mom will be supported, encouraged, loved and constantly attended as she labors.
The Doula is there to ensure the birth experience is as stress free and memorable for the new family as possible. She does not speak for the expectant parents, provide medical or clinical care or advice.
Hospital studies show that Doula- assisted mothers have fewer fevers, bond more quickly to their babies, and reported a higher rate of satisfaction with their husbands during and after delivery than women who did not receive Doula support.
